In September 2026, the Fashion Festival returned to the Casino in Sanremo. mong eleven tailors from all over Italy, we were there too, with our Lecco-made Le Ciabattine.
From 1952 to 1990, Sanremo hosted a Men’s Fashion Festival. In September 2026, Confartigianato brought it back to life for a month, with an exhibition at the Casino open from July 17 to August 17, a photo shoot on the grand entrance staircase and an evening fashion show in Piazza Borea d’Olmo. The runway featured the creations of eleven master tailors from across Italy. And on the models’ feet were our ciabattines.
Many people asked us that question that evening. The answer lies in the way Le Ciabattine are made: by hand, by several artisans, one pair at a time. Like a tailored suit, each pair is born from the customer’s choice of wood, fabric, color and heel height, and takes time to make. On the runway, the audience saw a comfortable shoe. We saw the same precision craftsmanship as the tailors beside us, applied to a less expected object.
Why a ciabattinas can stand alongside a tailored suit

Chiara Sironi, who created Le Ciabattine, explained it to journalists this way: Le Ciabattine are the result of the work of several artisans, unique pieces that, for this very reason, require time and care. I grew up in my family’s upholstery workshop, where my mother repurposed leftover materials to create accessories. That’s where the idea and passion for fabrics came from.

From Sanremo came articles in the local Lecco newspapers, new contacts, and confirmation of something we had suspected: comfort and personalization are highly appreciated even by those who And sometimes, when we make a pair with dark wood and a solid-colored fabric, that runway comes back to mind.
